Advent is a season of preparation and anticipation -- preparation for celebrating Jesus' birth and anticipation for Jesus' return.
Last night, Father Ed made the comment: "Advent is more important than ever because there are more distractions than ever." I think he was right; we need to take advantage of the season by reflecting upon Jesus' incarnation among us. By slowing down and reflecting on the life of Christ Jesus, we can rid ourselves of distractions and form ourselves to be more like our Lord.
